Sumner Sports Medicine
Sumner Sports Medicine certified athletic trainers work with physicians and other health professionals to serve school athletic programs and other athletic health care settings. The Sumner Sports Medicine program is an extension of the solid orthopedic program developed at Sumner Regional Medical Center over the past two decades, and provides a vital community service to the surrounding school systems. Services are provided through a partnership with the Sumner County Board of Education.
In accordance with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, our mission is to enhance the quality of health care for athletes and those engaged in physical activity and to advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
