Sumner Foundation Programs
Your gift of $75 commemorates your baby’s birth with a beautiful
silver-toned medallion etched with
your baby’s
footprint, name and date of birth, which will be permanently
displayed on the Cuddle Club Wall in our Center for Women’s Health.
As a special keepsake, you will receive a matching etched
glass ornament. You can also cherish the memory of a precious
little one
with a memorial
cloud.
The Cuddle Club is exclusively for babies born at Sumner Regional Medical Center
but is not limited to newborns. Proceeds from this project will benefit educational
classes and programs sponsored by the Center for Women’s Health.
– “An
Everlasting Gift”
Our Endowment Fund is a program where funds are permanently set aside and invested
to generate income. Expenditures are made from income, and the principal remains
intact. A contribution to the Endowment Fund allows your gift to continue to
give beyond a lifetime. Your gift can make a difference in current projects and
long-term objectives for the Foundation.
The Starlight Gala and Stellar Tribute has been one of the major fund-raising
events of the Sumner Foundation for over a decade. The Stellar Tribute
recognizes those who give freely of their time, talents and financial resources
to make the Sumner Regional Health Systems service region (11 counties in
upper-middle Tennessee) a better place to live. For the past several years, more
than $1,488,000 in Gala proceeds have benefited Sumner Hospice. The event is
held annually in April, for information about tickets or sponsorships for the
next Starlight Gala please contact the Sumner Foundation at (615) 452-4009.

Anyone who likes honky-tonking and helping others should mark their calendars for the Sumner Foundation hosted Rockin’ the Barn, a themed event serving as a fundraiser for Sumner Hospice. Rockin’ the Barn serves as a low key fundraising alternative to the Foundation’s annual Starlight Gala, held each spring. Net proceeds from this event go toward Sumner Hospice to provide care to terminally ill patients within our service area. So, dust off your jeans and plan on boot-scootin’ the night away! Chaps, spurs and ten gallon hats are optional. >> Read more about the inaugural Rockin’ the Barn event
The Charity Golf Classic is a first-class golf tournament that has been a sold-out event every year. The Golf Classic has benefited Sumner Hospice for the past several years, raising more than $390,000 since 2002. These funds have helped provide additional nurses and equipment for the hospice program. The format is a four-man scramble with awards in four flights for first, second and third place. The Sumner Foundation’s Charity Golf Classic is known for great courses, exciting prizes, wonderful food and tremendous charitable impact.
